These are the rules for participating in the FEARnet.com community, which includes our message boards, blogs, and live chat. By using the FEARnet website, you opt-in to agree to these terms. So read them and obey them!
Netiquette: Please adhere to basic netiquette when using FEARnet.com.
Spoilers: Don’t spoil a great new flick for the rest of us! Any thread or message containing spoilers MUST be tagged as such (example: “SPOILER: Saw III”).
Trolling: Trolling means posting stuff that is deliberately disruptive and inflammatory. Offending posts will be deleted. If you really annoy us, you will be banned. And for everyone else, remember what mom always said about your little brother: just ignore him and eventually he’ll give up.
Spam: Commercially-oriented posts that are not relevant to horror are prohibited. If you are being paid/compensated to post a message, you must disclose that fact in your post. If you don’t, and we find out about it, the offending posts will be deleted. Repeated offenses will result in a ban.
Copyright Material: Don’t steal! Do not post copyrighted material without crediting the source and providing a link to the site containing the original material. Offending content will be edited or removed.
Private Messages: If you need to contact another member, send a private message. It’s not our problem if they don’t reply. Do not post a thread directed at another member or moderator. Offending thread will be locked.
Personal Information: No personal information is to be posted at all. This includes, but isn't limited to, info about FEARnet.com staff, yourself, or your fellow community members. If we find it, we’ll delete it.
Personal Attacks: Criticize ideas, not people. Hateful, insulting, flaming, or threatening posts will not be tolerated. Posts will be deleted. User will be banned.
Inappropriate Content: Horror is about pushing boundaries. But make no mistake: illegal, sexist, racist and/or homophobic content is not welcome here. Offending posts will be deleted. User will be banned.
Multiple Accounts: One user, one account. If you get banned, don’t create another account. Your second account will be deleted. So will your third. And if you try it a fourth time, we’re sending someone to your house.
Moderators: Moderators have the right to delete, edit, or lock any thread or post. They try to use their powers for good, not evil, but they are only human (most of them). We’re sorry if you don’t agree with their decisions, but they’re in charge. And please remember, the FEARnet.com moderators are community members and are not necessarily FEARnet staff.
