Hey everyone! So this week FEARnet.com will be featuring my film 2001 Maniacs, and I'd like to tell you about this film and my experiences...

2001 Maniacs was my first movie that I was in and I learned soo much about filmmaking on this shoot. We basically shot out in Lupkin, Georgia for 5 weeks, it was amazing. We had such a great cast; Robert England, whom I totally adore, Lin Shaye, Giseppe Andrews and Tim Sullivan, our director.

Robert was great. We had zero money for this shoot, but we had a lot of passion. Robert, who was the star and who had the most experience, really set the tone for everyone on this shoot. He was amazing; great attitude and soo much fun. We shot till 5 in the morning, in the freezing cold, with no heaters and Robert always had a great attitude. He was so inspirational and we all learned soo much from him. It's important when your star is happy. They set the tone for the whole movie.

We also had some crazy experiences. Our set was haunted and some locals even put a curse on our film because of the racy content. Soo many crazy things happened on our set--an actress got her nose broken, one actor sprained his ankle, Peaches (Wendy Kremer) hyperventilated and had to spend 2 nights in the hospital. Every night it seemed like another person was going to the ER. Our first AD had a seizure, one of our crew members crashed his car into a ditch and the night we shot my big acid scene our director, Tim, got stung by bees. We had these crazy spiders that would fall out of the trees and land on the actors. We all got attacked by huge spiders. All in all we made a fun film that people love. Sometimes I think when you don't have a lot of money to make a film; you get people who are there because they are passionate about the project. Tim Sullivan kept it all together. He was amazing. He had enough passion and vision for everyone. Weeks before the shoot he had story boards and he always knew exactly what he wanted. Everything was so detailed. He taught us about our characters and our costumes he designed himself. That's what makes a great director. This film was successful because of Tim.
