SDCC 2009: Bringing the FEAR to Comic-Con
The biggest pop-culture event in the world (or at least the western hemisphere) kicks off this morning with the first full day of the San Diego Comic-Con 2009.
Are you here in San Diego? I am and I can’t wait to show fans, for the first time anywhere, footage from our upcoming exclusive online series Fear Clinic, starring horror icons Robert Englund and Kane Hodder. We’ll show this footage at our special Fear Clinic panel, Friday afternoon in Room 5AB of the San Diego Convention Center. Robert and Kane will be there, as will their co-star, our favorite FEARgirl Danielle Harris – and Fear Clinic’s director Robert Hall. Robert H. got a lot of great buzz for his movie Laid to Rest, and we think his work on our new series offers further proof that he’s one of the hottest, and fastest-rising, horror filmmakers in Hollywood. But here’s what may be the best part of our panel – it will be hosted by the legendary Clive Barker.
We hear some other little panel will take place at this time at Comic-Con, with a couple of other veteran genre guys. But we think it’s safe to say that the true horror fans will be at the Fear Clinic panel on Friday, and at the signing that will take place beforehand, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the Sony Pictures Entertainment Booth (Booth #4313), in which our stars and director will autograph free Fear Clinic posters.
Of course it's not all business here in San Diego. My good friends over at Summit Entertainment are going to bring the house down with their Twilight panel today, and I'll be there. Afterwards, I look forward to hitting the con floor - with about 120,000 of my closest friends. I hope to see you there!
