Blood Red Earth
This weekend at the Woodstock Film Festival FEARnet will be premiering our short, Lakota-language prequel to the Burrowers, "BLOOD RED EARTH." It's part of the "Epic Shorts" program, and following the mythology of our critters, takes place three generations before the events in The Burrowers. It follows a Lakota family in the time when the very first white explorers (our filthy white man played by Larry Fessenden) and horses were coming into their territory. A child is taken by the creatures, and things go downhill from there. I'll be up for Saturday's screening, before heading to Spain on Sunday for Sitges. If you're near Woodstock, stop by and see some Indians get tormented by a whole new set of pale creatures.
