Greetings, FEARnet Twi-hards! Yours truly will be blogging here regularly with updates on all things Twilight; that means we'll talk about New Moon, Eclipse, and even – fingers crossed – the Breaking Dawn film adaptation. So what better way is there to kick things off than with the New Moon still that just debuted today on the new official Twilight Twitter? Hit the jump for the complete image. 

This news is doubly awesome, considering that it merges two of our biggest current obsessions: Twilight and Twitter. The brand-spanking new Twitter account was launched today (we verified with Summit that it is indeed legit) and started with a Tweet from New Moon director Chris Weitz – his first Tweet ever:

"From Chris Weitz - Hi! Welcome to the official New Moon twitter account. This is my first ever tweet so be gentle with me."

If today's updates are any indication, this will be a must-follow for any Twi-hard on Twitter.

By the way, an afternoon Tweet revealed that the final run time of The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be two hours and ten minutes and announced that the first scene from New Moon will debut next week. Later in the day, Weitz Tweeted from the sound mixing stage, where he posted a photo while working on getting the "perfect bass rumble" for the introduction of the werewolves.
