'Twilight' Ties with 'True Blood' at the Scream Awards
The battle between Edward Cullen and Bill Compton for the hearts of vampire-loving fans remains a stalemate, at least if last weekend's Scream Awards are any indication.
The two hottest vampire properties of the year Twilight and True Blood tied for the most number of awards, each taking home four trophies. Twilight won Best Fantasy Film, Best Fantasy Actor (Robert Pattinson), Best Fantasy Actress (Kristen Stewart), and Breakout Performance (Taylor Lautner).
Meanwhile, True Blood nabbed Best TV Show, Best Horror Actress (Anna Paquin), Best Horror Actor (Stephen Moyer), and Best Villain (Alexander Skarsgard, who beat out Twilights Cam Gigandet).
Twilighters, there is a silver lining in this most unexpected standoff. Appearing sans cast mates Stewart and Pattinson to accept his award, Taylor Lautner presented all new footage from November's sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon that revealed more of his character, Jacob Black, and his Wolf Pack brethren.
