I'm back from my trip to the set of Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.

It is amazing how difficult it is to make a film. Forget the odds of actually being one of the talented few that manage to get their film green lit. I'm talking about the endless obstacles thrown in front of you once you are actually in production. I was on location for two days and between nasty weather condition, special FX blunders, botched schedules and endless other distraction it is a miracle that any thing gets done.

At the center of the madness is the director. In this case my bro, Rob Zombie. I have  been on set with Rob on each of his movies but I must say this time I left with an enormous amount of pride and respect for him and how he handles his business.

He kept his cool when he could have lost his shit and put the hammer down when he could have been pushed around. All the while somehow managing to keep a focused eye on the art of it all.

Another thing I noticed is the great affection that the cast has for each other. Saying a group of people are like family is an over used cliché , but I do think that in this case it is dead on.

In addition to hanging out I did snag interviews with Rob, Sheri, Tyler and makeup FX whiz Wayne Toth. Of course you will see it all right hear at FEARnet in the near future.

Also, I did see lots of footage from the movie and let me say, it looks fucking good! I have promised to not give away any details but I will say that people will be surprised by the level of sophistication in this film, as well as humor and of course brutality. This is definitely not some tossed off sequel.

It is set to open August 28th.
