A HORRIFYING MONTH!

Spider hosting Streets of Fear

These past few weeks were jam packed with movies, events and other fun stuff! Must be the Halloween season cause it seems like we've been doubling up on all things scary here at FEARnet.

It all started with a trip to NYC at the top of the month. I was asked to host this awesome little series we are doing called Streets of Fear. I provide ins and outs to the clips that explore haunted streets all around america. Great stuff to watch with the lights out!  A handful of the videos are already up on the site so make sure you check them out.

After returning from the east coast the scariest thing of the month happened... I caught the dreaded flu! I was out for a week. just terrible...

Though my recovery was just in time to attend the Reaper Awards. This was a unique little awards show that honored Horror DVD releases. FEARnet represented strong and our very own Rob Hall (Fear Clinic) managed to win a Best Slasher Movie award for Laid to Rest! It was a fun night that brought the horror community together and I managed to catch up with some old friends like the amazing Sid Haig!

A couple days after that I sat down with the cast of Saw VI. I went up to the Saw maze at Universal and chatted with Costas Mandylor, Tanedra Howard, and the always interesting Tobin Bell. I think this was my third time meeting him.

Next up was watching a film called The House of the Devil to get ready for an interview with Director Ti West and star Jocelin Donahue. Now, I always approach any film with an open mind but to be honest I usually prepare for the worst. Though, from the opening credits of House of the Devil I could tell I was in for something unique. Simply put this movie was great! I won't go into details and turn this into a review, but I will say that if you can find this film you should watch it. It goes against every modern horror movie cliche to create a moody, authentic, engaging experience. Actress Jocelin Donahue is a star in the making! So, I was excited to talk to these two because too often I find myself covering movies that I don't like.

The interview went well, though I was working on three hours of sleep because I was up til the early morning editing the new POWERMAN 5000 video. So needless to say I was a little off my game. Big apology to Ti West for referring to Cabin Fever 2 as Cabin in the Woods 2. Whoops!!

This weekend it's off to the Scream Awards which is always fun, then pack my bags to tour the nation with PM5K!!

Life is good.
