WASTING TIME all over the world...

I'm writing this from the lobby of a hotel in Seattle. I just checked out and the guy behind the desk had a Pentagram and some satanic scribbling tattooed on the inside of his wrist. He was wearing a suit and didn't notice that I saw underneath his shirt cuff. It was a pretty bold tattoo. I thought about telling him I made a Satanic movie that he should go see this fall... But I opted to just stay quiet, pay for my room service and keep using the wireless internet right up until I have to be at the airport. Someone once referred to neck and hand tattoos as "job-stoppers" but I think this might take the cake. Meh, maybe not... Satanism is so 1982...

Me sitting in this lobby post-check-out means that the 35mm print is done and looks amazing! Finally seeing The House of the Devil projected properly was a pretty awesome feeling. As I've said in the past, it was such a difficult movie to get made and especially to finish, that to see it 100% complete on 35mm with 5.1 sound really reminded me of how much blood, sweat and tears went into the production. Special thanks to the Alpha Cine crew up here in Seattle. They did an amazing job. I can't wait for October 30th!

In other news I'm headed off to London this week for Fright Fest's 10th Anniversary. If you are not familiar with this festival, its one of the best genre fests in the world. I premiered The Roost there in 2005, and I am really excited to be bringing HOTD this year. If by any chance you are in London this weekend, come out and see some of the year's best horror movies with some of the best audiences I've ever experienced.

Okay, it's time to get a move on. I haven't slept in my own bed in what feels like months. I hope I remembered to make it before I left...
