The Hypnotic Eye's picture

This is the greatest of the K. Gordon Murray collection of 60s Mexican horror films. It uses backdrops as sets, has a monster with a pulsating head that sucks the brains from his victims with his tongue. In his human form, the Brainiac eats from a bowl full of brains with a spoon.

You won't believe what you are watching and you sure won't forget it.

Some may find it a little boring but this vintage Mexican monster romp is definitely worth a look, it's actually a little disturbing for the time it was made.

I love "The Braniac." A very hokey monster...yet it did manage to creep me out.

Abel Salazar really has a menacing, hypnotic presence even when he's been badly dubbed.

The music in it got to me, too.
