If your a reader I suggest the book. I read the book first when I was younger and it was scary so I was prepared a little for the movie but still wanted the hallway light on when I went to bed that night! Good for a rainy night.

Thanks thats a great idea.I love to read and I'm always trading books at a local used book store.I think I'll cruise by there tomorrow and pick that up.

This is actually one horror flick that I didn't care for very much. For some reason it just didn't click with me.

From what I remember it wasn't bad. Been a while tho.

It was okay, but I thought the reason for the woman being murdered was kinda funny.Premature ejaculation is always a good reason for murder.

i liked this movie allot. I actually lived near one of the towns it was filmed in, Mt.Helen, FL. That town is very creepy. cool settings.

The book was one of the best and scariest I have read. I loved it. I think the movie was disappointing for me, but i find that is often the case after I have read a good book. the movie usually does not measure up to the written story. And finally anything I read or imagine is far more frightening to me than what I see in movies!

Read the book by Peter Straub. The movie doesn't rate anywhere near as scary as the book.
