I would like to start off by saying, I don't think there's enough movies about cannibalism.
This movie had a lot going for it: a decent plot, a good cast (Rory Calhoun, Paul Linke, Wolfman Jack, etc), comedy, splatter, and a Texas Chainsaw Massacre spoof.
Motel Hell held up well and is still as amusing as ever.
There's a lot to it that I admire, but the thought of this movie being remade and coming out next year is kind of disappointing. First off, there will be no Rory Calhoun. Also, remakes are seldom as good as the original movie. I doubt it will have the satirical wit of the original.
I haven't heard much about the project, but I have my doubts.
What do the rest of you fine fiends think about this picture?
Motel Hell

Motel Hell

Hey everyone let me start by saying todays movies are not as good as the late 80's. look at Motel Hell that was a great movie if they remake it they are killing a classic. Just like rob Zombie did Halloween it was good but it look to much like t exas chain saw. if you look at all his movies they all are some what related. But i still like his movies dont get me wrong. They need to make a movie that will have people on there seats threw out the hole movie..And make a movies that will scare you to Death.
Motel Hell
"It takes all kinds of critters to make Farmer Vincent fritters" That movie was so bad that's why it's so good. My favorite line was Farmer Vincent's final words _________ Remember what they were?

Motel Hell
a total cult classic! right up there with "the house that bled to death" and the ORIGINAL "people under the stairs". i hate hollywood cant seem to come up with more original stuff anymore. they just keep making remakes of the classics and ruining them. "house on haunted hill" was a HUGE disappointment. you just cant copy a classic actor like vincent price. and for that matter, nor can you copy christopher lee or lon chaney sr. and jr. or bela lugosi or peter lorre or peter cushing....well... you get the drift. the cheesier it is the better it is. long live the cheese masters!

Motel Hell
This is one of my favorite movies. I can't wait to get it on DVD.
Motel Hell
I've always thought of it as a spoof of TCM. But it does stand alone as a great horror comedy. Can't help but think about it every time I see beef jerky at the store.
Motel Hell
I loved that part where the swinger couple shows up looking for a good time and let themselves get tied up happily. They're gonna eat you dummies! It was hilarious and sad at the same time. It is a good movie though.
