right now, i'd have to go with chan-wook park's vengeance trilogy. (lady vengeance, sympathy for mr. vengeance, & oldboy.)

Ichi the Killer is one of my all time favorite films, so I'll have to go with that, though I personally consider it a love story, not a horror film.

Battle Royale, almost not a horror movie but a great movie none the less. other fav's are Ju-on, uzumaki, the eye, kairo, ringu, raisen. Save the green planet is ok, but tons of people like that one.

I'd have to say 3 Extremes, Ju-On, and Infection

Battle Royale was a good flick...

Ju-On rocked. It's great how they made a film so scary with relatively few special effects -- it was all in the atmosphere. The "same kid on every floor" in the elevator scene was nightmarish.

I like The Eye as well; its elevator scene was equally creepsville.

Kairo's a good one. I once saw it as the pre-show film before a Stereolab show in NY -- set the mood very well.

I have the Ju-On TV series and both films on DVD, as well as the American remake and the manga and have seen the new remake. I'm supposing this would be my favorite, then, but i also liked Phone and the Eye (even the Indian remake "Naina" with its bad baldcap and tribute to Dark Water), Dark Water, A Tale of Two Sisters, The Whispering Corridors Trilogy. Wow, I'm just a freak for Asian Horror.

I haven't seen a lot of them, but I sure as hell loved "BioZombie".
