does any one elese say that hichcock influenced at least 90 percent of all slasher and thriller films?

I agree with that. Without Hichcock we wouldn't have Psycho which influenced movies such as Halloween. A lot of the things we see now a days in horror films all come from Hichcock. the man was a geneus.

Hitchcock remains to this day one of the greatest cinematic directors of all time. Psycho is legendary and Vertigo and Rear Window are masterpieces. Hitchcock influenced a great amount of the thrillers that grace our screens today.

Yes I do believe that some of Hitchcock's movies definately effected alot of the slasher films of today. But he did have other films that where not in the slasher vain. Like Marnie and the Birds.

But for movies I loved I pick.

North By Northwest

Frenzy

Notorious

Psycho

Rear Window

and The Torn Curtain.
