One of my favorite old horror flicks, and the creature is every bit as sympathetic as the original King Kong (another old flick I love).

BTW, if you ever want to go visit where it was filmed, check out Silver Springs in Florida. Very cool place. The water is crystal clear, and the "lagoon" is still there. They also have wild monkeys, because a lot of monkeys were released around there when they filmed the old Tarzan movies. And alligators every time you turn around...

O I ABSOLUTLY LOVE THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON MOVIES THEY ARE GOOD BLACK AND WHITE MOVIES SO WAS REVENGE OF THE CREATURE AND THE CREATURE THAT WALKS AMOUNG US PERSONALLY I LIKED ALL 3 MOVIES.

BUT I THINK THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON WAS NOT TREATED VERY FAIRLY IN ANY OF THE MOVIES I MEAN COME ON I KNOW THAT IS HOW THE MOVIES WENT BUT IT WAS STILL MEAN TO TRAP HIM IN THE LAGOON THEN SHOOT HIM IN MOVIE 1. THEN TO GAS HIM AND KNOCK HIM OUT IN THE LAGOON AND COMPLEATLY REMOVE HIM FROM THE LAGOON AND CHAIN HIM UP & PUT HIM IN AN AQUARIUM LIKE SOME FREAK SIDE SHOW ATTRACTION WAS JUST WRONG IN MOVIE 2 EVEN THOUGH THE CREATURE IS NOT REAL I STILL SIMPATHISE WITH THE CREATURE CAUSE WHEN I WATCHED ALL 3 MOVIES I COULD IMAGINE HOW AWFUL THE CREATURE FELT BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE WAS TREATED IN ALL 3 MOVIES.

AND IT WAS EVEN MORE BRUTLE WHEN THEY CAUGHT THE CREATURE IN MOVIE 3 AND THEN TOTALLY MUTALATED HIM SO HE LOOKED TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND NOT EVEN LIKE THE CREATURE ANYMORE AND TO TAKE AWAY HIS ONLY MEANS OF BEING ABLE TO SURVIVE IN WATER AND MAKE HIM TRY TO BE HUMAN WHEN HE CLEARLY WAS NOT AND HE SUPPOSEDLY DIED IN MOVIE 3 THAT WAS JUST PLAIN MURDER IN MY EYES HE WAS TOTALLY MIS UNDERSTOOD BUT HE IS STILL A MEGA COOL MONSTER AND I LOVE ALL 3 MOVIES THEY ROCK.

My dad took me to see the Creature in 3-d when I was a kid. It was a double feature at this retro theatre with the Creature and It Came from Outer Space. I remember being totally tweaked by ICFOS when I was like 10 or something. That stuff was awesome.

The guy wanted a girlfriend. That's all. Couldn't we a least given him that?

But he was a terrible swimmer. I remember watching thinking, "If he's lived in the water for his entire life, should he be decent at swimming?" This might just be me though.

As far as I am concerned, The Creature from the Black Lagoon is one of the very best classic Universal monsters out there.

I feel that this is one of the "Top 5" best classic horror films that should be seen at least once by anyone who considers themselves fans of horror movies.

It was, as a matter of fact, the very first "Legacy" sets that I purchased.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon was one of my favorites growing up, and I still love watching it today. Much like Frankenstein's monster, I always thought The Creature was a much deeper character than many of the monsters on the screen today. That's what really made the movies worth watching again and again... in my opinion.

I really hope the remake is something special.

I think they gave the creature a bum rap! I'd jump up and grab the first female around if I was stuck in a lagoon by myself I hope the remake is well done like the mummy remakes.
