With their new release, "Artificial Soldier," FLA combines heavy bass lines, intricate synth programming, and break beats.

This is possibly their best effort to date, and features guest vocals from JL DeMeyer (Front 242).

I caught the Philadelphia show, which rocked, but was marked with controversy, as the band was stranded due to a tour bus contract dispute. This mix-up did not prevent Bill Leeb and the boys from rocking the Trocadero!

If you are a fan of such FLA albums as "Tactical Neural Implant," "Hardwired," or "Implode," then "Artificial Soldier" is for you!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to love FLA. Honest. There is just something about them that keeps me from really latching on (and I've been buying their cds since around the time of Tactical Neural Implant)

I think it's just the repetitiveness of it. I know it's dance music, and it's supposed to be, but it repeats for one or two bars too many and that kinda annoys me.

That being said, I think Plasticity is BRILLIANT and the remix that Biosphere did of Circuitry

is one of my top 5 favorite remixes of all time!

Do you have a suggested album that I may really love, or should give a second chance?

Hmmm...you mentioned that you already have "Tactical Neural Implant." That'd be the one I'd recommend to anyone.

You hit the nail on the head with "Plasticity." This track was monumental.

You may want to give the new album, "Artificial Soldier," a try. It has the best programming and breakbeats to date.

I'll give it a spin then.

Thanks!
