Blasphemy? To me is saying that Marilyn Mansion is hardcore will get a whippin', saying that hair glam rock from the eighties is metal, though some of it is great stuff, please I ask people kindly... do not compare Slaughter to King Diamond.

What do you listen to and what do you consider Metal?

that hair and glam shit of the 80s WAS metal back then, it may be bad but it was still metal to the standardsback then.

Ive also never heard someone refer to Manson as hardcore. Im pretty bitter and jaded when it comes to music, their might be 3-5 newer metalbands that ive liked in the past 5-10 years.

Bands i dont like:

I hate dragonforce;i know ill end up getting shit for this but whatever they are insanely overrated,their guitar work is nothing but 2hand tap solos that anyone with a few weeks of guitar lessons could learn and about a million more effects pedals than necassary

Disturbed, one of the more boring bands to come out in the past decade...yes they are on the heavy side, i would not consider them metal by anymeans.

99 percent of the bands in the metal-core genre; ive tried the best i can to give this stuff as many chances as possible, it does nothing for me. Bands like Killswitch and other bands of that ilk.

Bands i like;

I think gojira may be one of the only newer metal bands i like...great musiciansip and heavy as fuck.

Eyehategod-if there is one band that fully capture and uderstand what sabbath was doing and does that without ripping them of or shaming the name...its them...grittiest guitar tones ever, some excellent vocal work, just a awesome awesome band

Pantera-no explanation needed...these guys just rule

Pig Destroyer-amazing grind metal band, possibly one of the best in the genre today, their last album phantom limb to me is the future of extreme metal

Mastodon-the best metal band to come out in years. Heavy as fuck,amazing musicianship,very inventive. Just all around amazing band...4 of the best musicians in the genre today.

dude dragonforce fucking sucks. they especial suck live. i know i saw them. there not even good guitar players. every song sonds the same also. and dragonforce is the most overrated band in the world

surprised Cradle of Filth hatred has not been brought up. I like them. What about blood simple. Love them. They aren't death metal though. sorry, i'm no help.
