FearNet Movies in HD - Comcast OnDemand

weehoomovies987's picture

I just found the FearNet OnDemand channel on Comcast last night and noticed they had a few movies listed in HD. I started watching Flatliners in HD and it looked awesome. Now, all the HD versions of the movies are no longer listed! Anyone know why?

I think they had Flatliners, Carrie, and Dracula in HD.

Bring back the HD OnDemand!!

Hmmm...all three are still listed as available in HD where I'm at (Philadelphia).

I watched "Bram Stoker's DRACULA" in HD on my 51" 16x9 WS HDTV Hitachi Rear Projection set and it looked sweet!

I only wish that there were more HD choices.

I've saw "Flatliners" when it came out at the movie theatre and have no desire to re-visit it.

I haven't seen "Carrie" in ages so I might watch that.

As I recall those where the only three HD choices!

So yeah we need more HD choices!

I try not to watch the cropped movies, even in HD, but I don't kick a gift horse in the mouth. Hopefully they'll bring some interesting movies in the future.

Yes - you are correct - the HD versions are still available.

My Comcast OnDemand was messed up. When I first started watching FearNet, it was on the dedicated FearNet channel (ch 160). The HD movies were listed there. However, last night the HD movies were gone. Then I switched to the regular OnDemand channel (ch 199) and found two subcategories. One was FearNet and the other was Horror. The FearNet subcategory also didn't list the HD versions. Under the Horror subcategory, however, they DID list the HD versions.

I'm not sure why the HD movies only appeared after digging deep into the regular OnDemand channel (ch 199) menu, but so be it. At least they've been found!

For those of us without HDTV, will more movies be made available for viewing on a regular TV? The only thing I can watch right now is Dressed to Kill. Also, will the number of movies available be expanding?
