the people who come in there looking to fight(trolls) are only doing it to get a rise out of you... if you ignore them and no one replies, they will stop and leave... if they don't, keep ignoring them... it's the only way to deal with this situation until the ignore feature is added

Realist couldn't be more right! It takes a child to respond and argue, but it takes an adult to realize that they are children and ignore them. Please head the advice of realist, he knows what he is talking about.

Another site I visit has an ignore feature, and it's very useful. I've only had to use it once there -- most folks there know how to have a civil disagreement, maybe because they know how easy it is for others to just tune them out. Here's hoping an ignore feature is added here. Ignoring attacks is good advice, but it's much harder for some people to do than others (for example, survivors of child abuse).
