The People Under The Stairs

The People Under The Stairs

I know this isn't a classic yet, but it still gives me fond memories of the time when it came out.  Freaky upper-class people, who have a booby-trapped house.  The mom looks like a dude.  The old dude dresses up as some sort of BDSM gimp. And of course, all the zombie looking people in the basement and under the stairs that nobody knows about.  In a way, it was also a teenage romance type of movie.  I know it sounds stupid, but I really enjoyed it for some reason. I must be crazy.

Hey!    This is a Wes Craven movie. Kinda out there, but, still fun to watch. They're supposed to be brother and sister, but, she keeps calling him "Daddy", is a little creepy!lol And that leather S/M outfit! A little trivia, the kid in the walls is the computer geek from 'Laid To Rest'.        Later!        Kaboom

I don't know spooky, I think it does qualify as a classic....At least a good one to watch just about anytime you feel like....It never loses it's punch, know what I'm saying...I might be wrong, I haven't seen it in a while, but I think this is one of Ving Rhames first movies...And it is a Wes Craven product...That can only add to it's qualifications as a classic....Just my opinion...I could be wrong....peace-zigzag

The thing I love about this film is it is a movie for the masses. It doesn't matter if you like or dislike horror movies. It's a movie that anyone can watch and like, no matter how old or even how young (older than toddler age.)

Yes indeed.  Some parts even made me laugh, which is probably more disturbing then the fact that I hope it is a classic someday.

i consider this a classic for the simple fact that the one guy who comes and helps the kid looks like my brother inlaw and my wife gets so mad everytime we watch it. lol seriously i do really like this movie . teasing my wife about her brother just makes it better lol  talk later

Yes Carpenter, the kid that broke in was called "Fool" by his cohorts because of a tarot card reading early in the film I believe?
