I saw PATTON I believe at the Whitestone Drive In. The only time I have ever been in a drive in theater. I thought it was cool. The place was HUGE. Its been an empty lot since forever.

The first movie I saw was "The Omen"with Gregory Peck and Lee Remick. This was way out of town. The second movie was Alien [one]. Can't forget that because ot only was the sound bad like talking on a bluetooh after it was water logged. The mosquitoes tore my cousin up. tried to eat alive. They became so annoying we had to leave. We drove for a good while  waving swinging almost hitting each other and swearing sometimes if you hit someone instead of the mosquitoe!Smile

Hey, Bro! When I was a kid, Drive-Ins were a regular thing with my family. I can't remember the first, but here are a few I DO remember. 'Night Of The Lepus', 'Godzilla Versus The Smog Monster', if you haven't seen that one, it's as bad as the title, 'War Of The Gargantuas', some better ones were, 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'Night Of The Living Dead', and 'Last House On The Left'. There were literally 100's more. On Saturday nights they had a third movie tht was usually the mid-to-late 50's B/W stuff like 'It Came From Beneath The Sea', (still my fave), 'Them', 'Attack Of The Giant Gila Monster', and others like that. The Drive-In here shut down about 3 years ago. No more in the area. Google bought it out and built a service center! ASSHOLES! I'd rather have the Drive-In! I'll get off the soap box now!lol       Later, Bro!               Kaboom

The drive-ins are still right where they were 40 years ago here....Night of the Living Dead was my first...Something about seeing that one outside was really freaky....Everytime someone walked by the car I freaked out....Come on, I was a kid!!!!  Haven't been in quite a while, but was just talking about catching a flick there a couple days ago....Probably not what it use to be....Hope to find out soon.....peace-zz

thats a tuff one. i've been going for as long as i can remember. i have memories of james bond(sean connery). but thats not horror. i saw "the poseidon adventure"('72 version with gene hackman) the one that really scared me was "the howling." we parked in the back row and the tree line was near. i kept thinking somethings gonna jump out of the woods. i made sure all doors were locked. lmao now.
