Saw it. Horrible situation, but not horror. Never generates a worthwhile mood of fear or even true creepiness in the HORROR sense. Too clinical. One note acting by the Mad Doctor who acts insane even when cops come to question him which means the girls should have noticed something was friggin wrong with him and not just walk into his home. A one note, one act play dealing in a disgusting concept. Liked 1 second at the end though. What did any of you think that saw it ?HELLFIGHTERS SMILEY

I was really looking forward to seeing The Human Centipede, and finally got to watch it yesterday. I have to agree with you that it was very clinical. I felt disgusted at certain points, but never really afraid. From the reviews I knew to pretty much expect that, so I can't say that I was disappointed. It was more like an hour and a half of feeling varying degrees of unease. I think it may have been more effective if they'd have shown more detail of the surgery and results. It was kind of left up to the imagination, which doesn't really fit with the clinical feel of the film. I was left with a feeling of "man, that would suck", and that's about it.

While I don't dissagree with the comment about the film being clinical, I dissagree that this is a negative. I think it adds to the overall feeling of helplessness the main characters are subject to. What I liked most was the taboo aspect of the film. That's in essence what horror is: the exploration and exploitation of social taboos. There are not many left in todays culture. "The Human Centipede" found one last underexplored social moor...natures call to deficate, or more to the point, being forced to survive on poo. I think it's one of the best horror films in recent memory.

I'm sorry but my biggest problem with this film is the fact that it was billed as one of the most disgusting movies of all time and it fell severely from this point there are plenty of movies that test the boundaries way more than this one but now that it is mainstream it beats al of the other older films that tested them before.  films like Cannibal Holocaust and Island of Death, or hell they don't even have to be horror films.  Films like Kids tested the boundaries more than this one.  sorry but i guess all i can say is that i was a little disappointed.

didn't even register on my sick list. Homie is going to have to try MUCH harder...although the actor who played the doctor was legitamitely creepish. Cheers to his parents and most likely a hard life!

I saw this movie a couple of months ago. Big waste of time. I mean, I could deal with the people being attached together but, the dogs??? Really??? Just kidding! I must say though, it was kinda gross. Scary, ....NO. The doctor was hella creepy looking. I was just left kicking myself for watching the whole movie in the end. I'll never get that time back. But then again, I've wasted my time doing dumber things. haha!!!!
