My online radio station is in horror mode, so I'm adding music & songs from horror movies. I have some classics, but I need more ideas. What's your favorite music and/or song from a horror movie?
Harry Manfredini, Friday the 13th, just think of the ending with Alice in the Boat, how we go from relief, to F-inf heart-attack in a split second, i don't think the scene would have been nearly as jump inducing without Harry's score.

Took the words right out of my mouth Z-man! I always was creeped out by the Exorcist soundtrack,cant remember if anyone mentioned Prince of Darkness or Candyman?? My favz!
idk if its a horror movie but i like the music that came out on the movie 8mm....it sounded evil...especially since in the scene they are in like some kind of torture chamber
Some great classic scores you guys are listing... I have heard the Gregorian version of The Omen Ave Satani - strangely enough it was kind of modeled after the Fantomas version just less spastic, but very cool. I love the music in Candyman, Phantasm, Friday the 13th. Christopher Young also did some great work on the scores of the first 2 Hellraiser films. I also usually love any score by Danny Elfman, always epic and whimsical.
I'm surprised no one said this before me, Bernard Herrmann, he composed the scores for Psycho, Vertigo, Cape Fear, Taxi Driver, Citizen Kane and many, many more films and television programs.

I like the hallowen and exorcist themes....Also like the Trick or Treat soundtrack by Fastway....Really dug that movie....mmmmm cheesy goodness

Richard Band - especially his theme for Puppet Master
House on Haunted Hill (1999) score - by Don Davis, who also scored the Matrix.

Probably a common one but Marco Beltrami in Scream 4, played to the perfect moment.
