Ok, since I'm going to have to wait and wait and wait some more,......to see Last Exorcism, what happened in the last 10 minutes that ruined the whole film? I'd like to know in advance.
Turns out the girl wasn't being abused by family, but the Pastor and his wife had a cult and she was the sacrifice. The photographer found them in the woods holding a ritual with the girl and of course they kill him also. Thats most of what I remember.
To be honest, I liked the ending of that movie because it fit nicely into the whole idea of what was going on. He found a reasoning behind what he considered to be a hoax. Alot of people don't like the documentary style horror films, but I like them. I feel that they give a more sense of realism to the idea and makes you feel like it could actually happen. Not to mention, the whole idea of trying to prove whether the hype of Exorcism is real or not is a nice twist. You always have these religious undertones about exorcism, and never a skeptical point of view. I believe in such things, but it's nice to see a second point of view with the whole thing. Alot of vintage films had that documentary style to them back in 80s, and maybe even the 70s. No one seem to mind them. So, what does it matter that they do it these days?
A few examples
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
I Spit On Your Grave
Legend of Boggy Creek ( not entirely sure if it's in those eras, to be honest)
i thought the film was actually not bad i didnt watch it till ages after it came out because there was that much hype around it but not from horror fans just from kids who would be in my store so i suspected i would hate it........ anyway i thought it was to slow moving in the begining! but it dose pick up & the woman who plays the girl ( shes 20 something in real life) was very good when you consider she isnt even a "real" actress
spoiler
they all die lol
Re: Need a Spoiler Alert for Last Exorcism

So it WAS a hoax the whole time? Hmmm... I may watch it one day. I was turned off by the girl and her convulsions and the back bending thing.
