@ EVERYONE- DID U SEE THE MOVIE "SALT" ?

Anonymous's picture

I just watched the movie "SALT" last night.  My husband actually watched it with me !!!!  He is not a big movie fan like I am-  so he rarely watches movies.  We have a joke between us-  I used to watch the tv show "24"  and he used to make fun of it bc it is very unrealisitic-  which is true at times.  So after watching "SALT" for a few minutes, I said to him "this movie is too Jack Bauerish for u, isnt it " ?  and he laughed.

Anyway, I found it to be very enjoyable, BUT- there was one scene that even I thought was a little RIDICULOUS.  The scene where the agent- EVELYN SALT-  was in the elevator shaft and jumping-  no more like FLYING-  like a flying squirrel- from side to side to get to the elevator down below-  that was really silly and unrealistic.  Other than that, I liked the movie very much.

Nah, dindnt see it and not going to, Angelin Jolene makes the worst movies, Tomb Raider another film that ripped off game play, Beawolf a degrating of brilliant lititure, Mr Mrs Smith an abusive of the freedome of film, Sky Captin and the World of Tomorrow one of the few sci-fy films that seem like a perscribed sleeping pill, Wanted-WHAT THE FUK WAS THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!

So I learned my lession over and over again now I'm finally learning from it

But I have to say, she's VERY HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought 'Sky Captain' was an absolutely brilliant and quite revolutionary film, despite the fact that Jolie was in it. But she only had a small part that didn't even take up 30 mins. The techniques and little subtle touches used to make 'Sky Captain' were quite impressive and well-crafted. And i'm also not a Jude Law fan either, but the film was genius in it's presentation and crafting. It led the way for all the 'Motion Capture' and 'Green Screen' films we have now. If it weren't for 'Sky Captain', there would be no 'Sin City' or others of it's kind. Personally, Jolie makes me want to throw up, I don't see how everyone finds her so hot. She can't act and she's utterly repulsive to me. Just the mention of her name makes me want to vomit. I know I am probably in the minority opinion on this, but I am entitled. I avoid her movies like the plague because just seeing them, you can catch something. The woman is gross and repugnant and is a disgrace to the movie industry.

I enjoyed SKY CAPTAIN also. Harkened to the old serials of yesteryear like COMMANDER CODY and BUCK ROGERS but with more flair and of course better visuals. Im not a fan of Joli either. Nothing funnier than her on her back holding off a robot the size of a CAR with spindly little arms in one of the inane Lara Croft movies. Just beyond believable. I do think the best term, locally, to describe her would be "skanky", lol. If you dont know the word, I AINT explaining it.SEXY (CLICK/ACTION)I DID however, find SALT entertaining, PROBABLY because I was expecting utter crap and already KNOW to suspend ALL BELIEF and LOGIC when watching spy/action/thrillers with the current stock of "superstars".  (assholes)

Haha! Yes, I know the term 'skanky' quite well, but I was trying to be nice about it! *Heehee* 'Sky Captain' did harken back to the old movie serials. Especially brilliant was taking a dead Laurence Olivier and making him the villain-using a clip from one of his old movies. Another tip of the hat to the creators. The giant robots at the beginning were based on the old Fleisher 'SuperMan' cartoons from the 40s. All in all a brilliantly done film. Very under-appreciated and it did poorly at the box office, because no one wanted to give it their time. Even the DVD sales were poor. It just goes to show that people don't appreciate real art.

You hit it on the head Spook. ART would DEF be the word to describe SKY, even the acting was purposely directed to approach the old "heroic" and over the top mannerisms of the old serials including the "dastardly" villains. You are also 100% correct on the Superman robots and they were a treat to see. Jolie DID look great WITH THE EYEPATCH. A very nice dashing touch along with the old style uniforms that were cleverly "3rd Reich-ish" again, in the styles of yesteryears ideas of what "futuristic" would look like. The fact that I was a fan of NONE, NOT Jude Law, NOT Jolie and MOST DEFINITELY NOT of that "secret" super SNOB Gwyneth Paltrow and STILL enjoyed the movie speaks for the movie itself. LOVE the SHIELD style Heli-Carrier.

I'm glad everyone is cold, but I may give this film a shot.

Wow! That's bringing the movie to everyone's attention! If you havn't seen it, I highly recommend it. I remember when I went to see it at the theater it was playing at-there were only like 6 people in the audience. Everyone at different points walked out of the movie except me, so when it was over, I was the only one left! (The theater also decided to pull the film after that, so it was a very limited engagement) Again, that goes to show that no one has an appreciation for real art.
