SILENT HILL movie questions/answers ?

OK. Its been awhile since I watched SILENT HILL. I am REwatching it but had to get off for a sec cause I came up with something I hadnt really taken notice of before. Rose and Sharon DaSilva go into a skid and get knocked unconcious. Turns out Officer Bennet had taken a spill right behind them and was unconcious even longer than Rose. SO. . . . . . . do you HAVE to be unconcious to penetrate the "dimensional veil" to SILENT HILL? They CANT be dead because I dont believe any BODIES are found at the end, just their vehicles? (I THINK. I should just finish REwatching the flick.)

Whats YOUR take on the BEFORE/AFTER/WHY of the beginning and end of the movie.

It’s somewhat complicated. But to put it simply, no, you don’t have to be unconscious. The only reason she is knocked unconscious is based solely on the fact of a sudden stop. The alternate plane is based around Alessa Gillespie’s dark, vengeful power that resides within the town, which arouses monsters to torment anyone who dares to enter. As for the ending, it seems to pertain to the fact that Alessa was stuck in this alternate world. She became whole; thus entrapping both her and her doppelganger’s mother within the fog world. This, however, is not how the game went down, but as I said previously, this movie disrespects and pulls away all the identity of the game.  I hope this helped, Hellfighter.

Thanks Twisted. I guess one of those instances where knowing the game, however diff, helps understanding the predicament. Appreciate the answer !
