AS LONG AS THE MOVIE DON'T BORE ME IN THE FIRST 15-20 MIN AND GETS MY ATTENTION I CAN ENJOY MOST ANYTHING,BUT IF ITS STUPID OR BORING I LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE.I LOVED THE OLD CREATURE FEATURES GROWING UP AS A KID AND THE WOLF MAN ,DRACULA,FRANKENSTEIN,MUMMY. THE NEWER MOVIES OF TODAY,I ENJOY THE SPECIAL EFFECTS BUT SOME TIMES THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO SOME MOVIES.FROM TIME TO TIME I LIKE TO ENJOY A GOOD OLD BLACK & WHITE HORROR MOVIE.WHEN I WAS GROWING UP WE ONLY HAD BLACK & WHITE TV.THEN WHEN WE GOT OUR FIRST COLOR TV I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE BOMB!! LOL

My favorite years are definitely 80's-90's, but there is a fuckton of good recent horror out there, you just have to know where to look. Aside from being a huge horror movie buff I'm an avid reader and books can open up a whole new world of horror for you that you may never even knew existed.

I don't get into these much !! cause most peeps have their own defanition as 2 what makes a great horror movie, but as allot of the older gen. I grew up on the older B&W movies that R considered classics now ! but the B&W older flicks put allot more into their flicks cause they had 2 to catch the imagination of the time & era, of what was going on in the world at the time, & 2 stir the imagination of movie goers!! you had the atomic age, the unknown time when we were in the space race !! not 2 mention just allot of just creative movie writers of the time !!! I mean you had , si fi , aliens invading the earth , big bad BUGS caused from nuclear fallout & testing, not 2 mention voodoo & the occult !!! so I wood say that there has been a gap, in some of the thought, in coming up with new stories!! just, a gap in what the whole genre is about!!

I'm 45 and have been a horror hound since I was a kid.

I don't really care what it is as far as a horror movie - ex: original, remake, reboot, sequel, prequel ect.

If it's a good movie then it's alright by me! If it stinks then I'm out the 12 bucks for my movie ticket.

I guess I'd be considered more 'old fart' than 'fresh fart', so... My AADD prevents me from enjoying 'tension and dark ambiance' mood building BS. Just start on with it and entertain me PDQ. Like... NOW! dammit! ¶ I like 'surviving the situation' horror, meaning more creature features and less ghost stories, but I really don't care for psycho killer(s) and torture porn. ¶ I do appreciate what can be achieved with a limited cast, locations, and budget, so there is some consideration there. Practical or CGI effects - I don't really care. And the's not enough good horror comedy. We need to laugh with the filmmakers, not deride them. More scifi horror would be nice, too ¶ MANDATORY: A thoughtful screenplay. A fair production of a good story is better than a fantastic production of stupid BS whith dumb people doing dumb shite. I can't enjoy the story if I'm getting p!ssed at the dumass characters for making stupid decisions and/or falling down. I get p!ssed at the actor, the director, the writer, and the producer, all of which had the opportunity to say just what I'm now saying: "This is stupid." ¶ For God's sake, entertain me.
