I started doing this feature on my blog where I talk about moments in horror movies that really made you say "Oh Sh*t!" or "Holy Sh*t!" out loud....most of the time it comes from something gory or shocking or something that catches you off guard.
My first scene that I picked was the first shotgun blast in Martyrs in the scene where Anna goes to meet her tormentors.

- I don't remember if it is one or two but "Evil Dead" and its the mirror scene. Not terrifying but extremely impressive and made me say Holy Sh*t.

Oh also, "The Shrine" Statue scene made the entire film worth watching for me goosebumps all down my back.

lets see one holy shit moment that come to mind is in the movie the ecent... when she flashes the flashlight on the girl and you see the creature in the back ground. But I would have to say also The Frontier(s) when they chain the guy and girl up in the pig pen and they cut the back of the fellas heel .... Oh and you cant forget the end scene in Dont be afraid of the dark were Katie Holmes is ripped into the heater in the basement... I sat with my jaw dropped for about 5 mins.

Honestly Im a little stumped.The first that comes to my mind is either from house of 1000 corpses or the devils rejects.I think its from the devils rejects,when the one girl has someones face sewn onto hers and she runs around insanley and gets hit by a car.Yeah,Ill probably think of a better one later,but thats what comes to mind.

[remake] of Black Christmas had me a little twitchy. I hate anything to do with eyeballs, and then that bit with the cookie cutter... Mnn. Not the greatest for when you were in the middle of making sugar cookies.
My favorite 'Holy shit'
My favorite 'Holy shit' moment so far is in Agento's Phenomena (1985). Jennifer Connelly is having possibly the worst luck of anyone on the planet, everything seems to always go bad and she even swims in a pool of rotting corpse bile.....the very end the antagonist gets it in the best way possible. You'll say "holy shit" and start cheering at the same time.
