I started doing this feature on my blog where I talk about moments in horror movies that really made you say "Oh Sh*t!" or "Holy Sh*t!" out loud....most of the time it comes from something gory or shocking or something that catches you off guard.
My first scene that I picked was the first shotgun blast in Martyrs in the scene where Anna goes to meet her tormentors.

Oh man the part n the Roommate where she puts the kitten n the dryer. Or theres a few n The Exorcist 3....when the old lady is crawling on the ceiling. And the priest gets murdered n the hosp... The guard walks past the hall and u c this crazy lookin person n a robe w a massive knife comin after him. Or the part where the old lady goes to their house and barely missses cuttin the daughters head off w those massive shears.

The first time i saw PA in theaters.... the very end when the guy got thrown at the camera

Mine goes all the way back to the 70's when I first saw Texas Chainsaw in the theater. The part where Leatherface opens the big metal door and hammers the dude in the head. The shaking and the feet kicking... and then slamming that door closed. That movie really blew my scary fuse. Nothing has ever scared me since.

That was one of the biggest "oh shit" moments to me as well.....just a classic scene from a classic movie.
