i like both franchises but i watch halloween 1/2/4/5 all the time & i put 3/6/7 in the dvd player quite often BUT with the nightmare on elm st series i only watch 1/3/7 on a regular basis so for me i consider halloween franchise the best by a long way. If i was to pick the best between halloween 1 & nightmare 1 i would go with nightmare. Out of the remakes halloween is 10/10 nightmare on elm st is 5/10

HALLOWEEN. Perfect from start
HALLOWEEN. Perfect from start to finish. NOES has that crappy, not much sense ending that was poorly written/edited. The acting is also better in Halloween.

well naybe its me but i prefer n.m.o.e.s!!,like they say the originals are always the best!!, although i did think they were begining 2loose the plot after n.m.o.e.s part 56!!!!!! (joke),but freddyb 2me is my ultimate horror icon,an i think back in those days with ur jason/micheal an freddys they were just great,an i think even 2day they still stand the test of time an i dont think they will ever b able 2 produce such great icons like those again!!!
