What movie scared you as a child?

I remember going to see SLEEPING BEAUTY as a child. When we got home that night, I was afraid that the evil queen was on top of our house as my dad pulled into the driveway. That movie really got to me!

Anyone else with memories to share?

When I was 7 I saw the movie "It's Alive" and that scared me for a long time lol. I couldn't have my feet on the floor near the bed or sticking out from the covers lol.

I'm going with The Exorcist. It wasn't the story, it was her voice and how they altered it that freaked me out! The Entity is a close second.

The Thing....... Original movie with Kurt Russell. It was the very first horror movie that I watched. I was three years old. To this day I love horror movies, but I have yet to find a movie that scared me like " The Thing" did.

I grew up in the seventies and my parents were not big horror fans so most of the stuff that scared me was on late night TV. The first thing that absolutely terrified me was a movie called Trilogy of terror. I actually did not remember the first two stories but the one about the Zuni tribal voodoo doll had me hopping from one piece of furniture to the next for for months.

Anything to limit the amount of time I actually had contact with the floor was employed and leaping as far away from my bed as possible when getting out of bed was a requirement.

The second film, and actually worse, was a movie called Race with the Devil with Peter Fonda, Warren Oats, Lara Parker and Loretta Swit. It was a pwerful movie to a seven year old kid.

And of coarse I was freaked out by Jaws like any other eight year old whos parents were dumb enough to take their kids to see a giant shark eat people.

Dead on about the Tribal Doll! That was one nasty little creature with an annoying scream. I think it's related to the Tazmanian Devil, only nowhere near as fun! Karen Black is one creepy chick in this.
