What movie scared you as a child?

I remember going to see SLEEPING BEAUTY as a child. When we got home that night, I was afraid that the evil queen was on top of our house as my dad pulled into the driveway. That movie really got to me!

Anyone else with memories to share?

Without a doubt! The Exorcist.  I was a child when I first watched that movie. I'm in my forties and I still can't watch it! Linda Blair should have won an Oscar for that performance.

Never found a horror movie yet to scare me, my dad use to take us to the movies every weekend and he explained it wasn't real and I believed him so it never scared me, but there are some wicked ones out there, I loved Dracula, Magic, Phantisam, Freddy, Jason and Michael, but my first horror movie was Hush hush sweet Charlotte, it was awesome :) for those who have never seen or heard of it, it stars Betty Davis as a crazy woman who was accused of murdering her lover, Check it out it's pretty good :)

What used to scare me as a kid was the Halloween movies and now I love them. I think it was the mask that scared me I wouldnt even be in the same room when it played.

The three scariest movies that I have ever seen, are as follows:

  1. A Nightmare on Elm Street. 1984
  2. The Evil Dead 1981
  3. Stephen King's IT 1990
