I liked the ruins pretty well.  i found it plenty creepy and of course dug the women.  I really liked the girl going crazy with carving on herself to get rid of the vines inside her (there's a shot where you can see her hip hanging off the bone and its awesome), and i liked the intelligent plants trying to convince her her boyfriend is banging her skanky little friend.  I really liked the ending, you think donnie darko's girlfriend gets away only to see a vine lurking behind her eye.   when we watched it my girl said the dumb ass girl should have just stayed put.  and i agreed.  But i told her i really liked the ending.  and i said if it was me i'd do anything i could to get her off that rock.  i told her i'd let the vine destroy everything if it ment she had just the chance to get away and find help, and i still have that attitude, even tho we're not together.   i just have never been able to shake the belief that the people i care about are far more important than anyone else.  even everyone
