Cigarette Ban Going into Effect 6/23/10

Just thought everyone concerned might want to know, another cigarette ban is supposedly going into effect on 6/23/10.  It's called the federal PAC-ACT and will NOT allow individuals to purchase duty free (tax free / discount cigarettes) by mail ever again.  So if you're already doing this, I suggest you stack up on those smokes.  This bill wasn't voted on, it was just signed in by the Obama administration a week ago.  On top of this, regular cigarette taxes are expected to go up, YET AGAIN on a new sin-tax that congress is expected to vote on soon.

This is not entirely alarming if you live next to an indian reservation and can drive to the tobacco outlets, however if your more then 4 hours away from one, this is going to cause a big dilemna because even with driving..... the ATF routinely stops vehicles and will be limiting interstate exports of duty free cigaretees (maybe only 5 cartons at a time).

With the Gulf / Oil disaster still not completely under control, I can guarantee that gas and oil prices are going to skyrocket within the next year, also hindering travel or bootlegging cigarettes.  This also will be affecting the prices of all food that requires refrigeration in shipping. As even red meat costs more to individual companies to ship and recieve because of the temp. control required by the FDA.
