About me
<p>I'm a 24 year old student, continuing my education by attempting a BRN (nursing) and already holding a bachelor's in clinical psychology. I am a huge horror and movie fanatic, and have probably consumed more violent and disturbing media than could be considered healthy. I tend to be unflappable when it comes to horror and suspense, and am very rarely shocked.
I consider the more frightening films to be things such as Pierre Paulo Pasolini's "Salo", the original "Funny Games", the original "Last House on the Left", "Philosophy of a Knife", "The Grey Zone" and so forth, which show what I consider failry true to life human desperation and depravity. Not really into strictly "just for gore" flicks or Mondo movies such as the "Cannibal Holocaust" or "Guinea Pig" (or the plethora of underground psuedo snuff films).</p><p>For me, it's all about the psychological and atmospheric aspects...which is why I love antagonists like Rutger Hauer's in the original "The Hitcher" or Bret Easton Ellis's antihero in "American Psycho". </p><p> </p><p> </p>
