I'M ALIVE!!!!

I know. You all were probably frantic with worry, assuming I was lying broken and decaying in a muddy ditch in the middle of nowhere. After all, it's been TWO weeks.

Seriously, though, sorry about the absence. I seem to have a pattern of spurts of activity on here followed by getting distracted/lazy for long periods of time. I have a legit excuse this time though-two, actually! I just moved into a new apartment. It's nice being out of my parents' house, and the new place is definitely a step up from my apartment when I was in school-no bat or spider infestations, for starters (as a horror fan I feel like I should have been thrilled about that, but in reality it was just nasty and unpleasant).

I also have my first grown-up full-time job. I started in October and I'm still getting used to such a full schedule. It's a customer service position, so wanting to punch a hole in my computer screen every day has sort of become part of my life. I'm grateful to be employed, but I'm really hoping I can find something a little more suited to my interests and skills.

So yeah, between getting things unpacked and organized and having my soul slowly drained through a phone headset at an insurance company I've had some trouble motivating myself to do what I really want to on here, which is start posting some of my short stories ony my blog. I have this goal of getting them published someday, but I feel like I should get some feedback from more people before I take the next step and start sending them out. Since I want to write horror I figured this would be an ideal place to share what I'm working on. So far the few I have are works in progress, but I'm going to try to get the first one-at least a rough draft-posted sometime next week.

Nothing else new to say for now. OH. Except the full trailer for The Devil's Carnival was finally released a few days ago. And it is GLORIOUS. Okay, maybe not glorious. That adjective might be better-suited for Repo. It still looks pretty damn cool, though, and I'm really excited. They still haven't added Minneapolis to the tour list yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed...I don't want to have to wait until it's on DVD to see this.

Hopefully you'll see a new post sometime next week. Later!
