All The Eve

The sun bursted with a blanket of light, the sky was once again reborn. Know one knew that the twilight would stand still, and life would hang in the balance. Two eyes that howl on the eve of night lay creatures to the feet that walk. Friend or foe the bodies lay, for one never knows. At the tip of twelve the clock stricks and slience cover the earth. Fee, fi, there is no fum for it was not  the time of the giant. In that instant the air was still, the smell of decrepted flesh devoured the field, a land barren that was once filled with life left nothing to feed. Ooh the echoes of the howling wind, lay grumbling to the hungry stomach. Sniff to smell, smell to sniff ,a neighbor should I feast, for in the mind a will to survive ,  then it is meat that I will eat to satisfy the grim. To a lerch in the dark, the panic grows for hunger is to the taste, a tongue that drips blood. Beside the well the belly swells and pain becomes the friend, for it is the thirst that drives the feed and hungry mouths remain. Grin the blooted ghoul that once more ran rampant this night.                                 By Emma Taylor
