Halloween Ideas

Watched the Travel Channel not too long ago and for people who go all out for Halloween or like to travel, here are some of the biggest Halloween Haunted House attractions in the country:

"Netherworld" in Atlanta, Georgia.  A Halloween haunted house guaranteed to make people pee their pants. Nice set-up, movie grade mechanical monsters and trained actors.

"Fright Dome" in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Really creepy by the looks of it and has a huge indoor amusement park with nightlights / black lights and rollar-coasters if you like rides. It also has several haunted house attractions that are also within the park if you don't want to ride the rollar-coasters, but you can do both if you like. It reminded me of a Gothic Disney World.

Then there is "House of Shock" in New Orleans, LA.  So scary that it's almost been shut down a few times by politicians. It was started by a member of the band Pantera (I believe). It has a rock concert if you want to stay and very top of the notch mechanical monsters / actors and other freaky scenerio's played out in the building.  Looked almost like a Halloween theater, as there are other stage shows outside the haunted houses.

If you have a certain costume in mind, that you've always wanted and just can't seem to find it anywhere.... then there is always online or travel shopping at "Halloween Outlet" in Wooster, Mass.  It is the biggest costume, prop. and Halloween apparel store, in the entire country. Many people travel there each year just to pick up props. for their local haunted houses and private parties but you can also purchase online very easily.  It has a huge selection of just about anything you could ever want.

And if you're so in love with Halloween that you want to be married on that day and have a goth wedding, then you might want to consider the "Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel" in Vegas Nevada.  They have a Halloween style ceremony with any number of scenerios you can choose from. Examples could include getting married by an Undertaker (seems fitting) or by other characters of your choice (like Dracula with accent and all).   It has actors available / provided for, to make the experience more unique. Decor Halloween style is definitely one set-up, with candles, coffins, tombstones, costumes, bats, black lights, black roses etc. But there are several setups to choose from (i.e. haunted castle). It looked tremendous and very exciting.

Although I didn't list the websites for any of these popular tourist destinations, all of them seem fairly easy to find info about online, if your google search includes the city and state information along with the title of the attractions.
