I have asked all my friends a simple question, and the reply is never the same for any 1 of them.  Here goes, if we were to be invaded by aliens from another world what would it take to shock us at their appearance? Hollywood has prepared us with loving care to be ready,no matter what the e.t. looked like to be un-shocked. We have seen gigers alien, to spieces where we raised those that want to kill us. To the fith element, and the day the world stopped, along with the abyss that want to take us children by the hand and teach us how to live better. We have district 9, where we keep people and aliens seperated, to alien nation and star treck, where aliens work on adaily basis with humans. Wouldn't it be a huge shock if they were, and are here and they look just like us. How would we know to be afraid, or prejudiced towards them? After all we are human, therefore we would need to protect ourselves from the risk of contamination. Would't we? Or have we been properly educated  by the people that prep us for all the eventualities to not only not be shocked by these people, but invite them into our lives? I am interested in peoples viewpoint on this. Personally, i feel that we have been conditioned to the point that it would be almost impossible to be shocked at what the aliens look and behave like. All we have to do is think of a movie, and we have seen them. However that is just me, and maybe the invasion has already begun. Just a few examples, let your mind wander.
