The Devil is in the details the old saying goes. Well that is very true, currently working on various details for both Warped TV and Shadow Wars Online and learning that first hand. The business model for the shows can be terribly complicated. The niggling details to ensure that these shows can make enough money to keep the shows going and hopefully fund other potential projects. Once I get the model and plan written up I will have to package it neatly so it can be presented to various potential financial agencies. This doesn’t change the goal of doing the first 2 films next August but instead would be for purchasing more equipment and possibly vehicles. One side industry we are looking at is renting out the various gear we have as well as hiring out the crew to work on local films. This enables us to get more experience in working in the film industry as well as connections.
The first broadcast of Warped TV will be in October during Screamfest Orlando. Some of the items we will be filming will be the Zombie Walk hosted by the Deadite Empire and the Anti-Zombie forces of ZED will be there as well. On top of this going to attempt a few skits involving Kenny Beaumont and possible movie reviews depending on what we can get done. Also at Screamfest I’ll be modeling some of the costumes we have chosen for Shadow Wars which will be two Dragon Corp uniforms and a Forseti Corp Riot Control Officer. It will be interesting to see if I get arrested or not at the Zombie Walk since that is where I will be dressed as the Forseti Goon.
Also we got some positive reviews regarding the new story “Last Days of Bunker 138″. With the new revolving story format the following week will have the 2nd installment of the doomed Catharian Home Guard Battalion. When asked for the inspiration of the Catharian units I had to be honest and mention the old USSR WWII regiments. When envisioning them I picture them in their itchy wool uniforms marching along singing “Farewell Slavic Women” cheerfully as they head to battle. When in battle the Commissars lead the fight against their reanimated foes hacking with their cutlass and firing their machine pistols in the maggot ridden masses. I am sure everyone will enjoy the further installments as they come.
Awaiting feedback on the last installment of “Watcher in the Window”. This part gives a tad more insight into the personality of Rachel. Where “Fallen Angel” had shown one effect of the Neo Genesis program the “Watcher” story shows yet another example of how their upbringing affected them psychologically.
The careers and staff bio sections will be posted within the next few weeks. At the present tinkering with the layout of the Careers section and breaking them down by project. As for the Bios section that too will be broken down by section as well. Right now also looking into a new look for the forums as well but due to my location not an easy thing to work on due the craptacular internet connections. All in all we are still marching along toward getting this dream moving.
Cheers,
Wolfe
