BATTLE ROYALE 1 AND 2

yeah i liked ichi too! are there any other movies like this that i might like? ive been kinda disappointed in the ones ive watched recently.

The movies okay, but I prefer the graphic novel or the actual novel over it any day.

They're so great, though, that anyone who hasn't seen/read them has to...now.

it's sort of complex to desribe how i felt about the sequal.. the first movie was perfect, and i think it realy does show the selfishness o people and our true nature when pinned against one another. it was like they completely forgot who their true friends where, and they'd do anthing just to stay alive for another second.

but the second is complicated. i haven't seen the whole thing yet,(i 'll probably finish it tomorrow) but the way they tied the two together was descent for me. alot of people died, though, before hey even hit the shore, which was a bit of a disapointment, and i didn't likethat everyone was paired together. i mean, i understand it makes it so peple can be killed off easier,bt wouldn't it make sense that if you're sending these kids to fight a war for you, that you'd want more of them to survive, not to kill off as many as you can? i don't know, maybe t's just me.

I loved Battle Royale!

Classic film. The US remake is going to fail to capture the overall dark feel of this film. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the contestants in the US version are college stundents. I know there was some issues with this film that caused it to never have a US release (high school students killing each other).
