I don't have 1 favorite Asian horror film, I have several scabs!

- Ju On: The Grudge

- Audition

- Ringu

- 3 Extremes

- Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

- Battle Royal

- Uzumaki

among others...

Dark Water.

The Eye.

Both outstanding films.

Ringu is probably THE single most overrated asian film I've ever known of.

I also don't understand the deal with Audition. I want to punch that stupid bitch in her face and repeat.

The Grudge, yup. That strange croaking sound gets to the core of me...

I have to agree. Ju-on and Battle Royale are two of the best. I loved Ichi the killer too.

Another good one is Versus. Zombie yakuska, you can't go wrong.

From what little I have seen, I would have to say Audition. I think that is just a superb, character driven film. But I also have a strange fascination with Suicide Club. I think that is because I have yet to really figure it out.

A Tale of Two Sisters is also excellent. Actually a pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it nearly as much I did.

I completely agree. It was a great film, lots of twists.

A Tale of Two Sisters and then there was one, I don't remember the name, but this guy lost his family in a car accident. He kept getting newspaper clippings telling him what would happen. Anyone know what I'm talking about? He was a teacher I think.

I agree, I've given that movie out as gifts.

You're thinking of Premonition, a good movie.

My favorite has to be Uzumaki, really cheesy special effects, but damn creepy all the same and extremely surealistic. I also loved Infection, more surrealism and lots of creep-out.

Got to go with the first Japanese horror movie I saw called simply Kaidan(1964) translation is ghost story very hard to find it but if you can get it very cool. Newer ones was Cursed don't look back ('Ch' kowai hanashi A: yami no karasu, dark water, and The Locker (Shibuya Kaiden).
