So there is this Asian movie called Oldboy on my Free On Demand service. I really don't know if its any good or not and if its horror. Does anyone know what its about and if its good.
It's not really a horror movie although there are some torture scenes. Mainly it is a mystery/thriller based on a manga series of the same name.
The movie is about a guy that has just spent 15 years in prison and been released. He plans to get revenge for an unknown reason but learns that he only has five days to do it in.
I'm a big fan of Oldboy. The torture scsnes aren't to bad and the mystery bent is interesting. Its not horror but if you like horror you will probably like it.
Old Boy is one of my favorite films of all time. It is actually part of "The Vengeance Trilogy" The other 2 are No Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance & Lady Vengeance.
Oldboy isn't really a horror film, it IS one of the greatest revenge films of all time with some of the best cinematography and a truly shocking ending. If you haven't seen Oldboy, go...now
