i was just wondering this because it sounds like a great movie idea, people fighting zombies but not with guns or any other weapons just kungfu skills, like zombies attack a kungfu school in a remote location and the masters and the students have only their kungfu skills to defend themselves, so anyone heard of a movie like that ???? if so please let me know. 'peace'
Re: is there a kungfu flick with zombies in it ??
Tokio Zombie has men fighting zombies with Jujitsu. Its a comedy and I think very good. I espesialy like the enormous afro on the main character.
KUNG FU ZOMBIES
There is a movie called KUNG FU ZOMBIE, done i think in 1982, its about a good guy and a bad guy (of course) anyway the bad guy raises an army of dead guys (who all know kung fu) to get the good guy. Its a Chinese movie.
Machine Girl
Although not a horror movie, I was told this movie was awesome, well thought etc. I watched it a couple of days ago and was really dissappointed. I'm not sure if the whole plot was some Asian action genre attempt at humor or what? There were ninja's dressed in football uniforms. People melting in front of machine gun fire. Motorized boobs that eventually electrocuted some evil chick with battery operated DC current (not very realistic either). Drastic overkill all around, as in people dying in manners that were not related to the weapons used or methods of attack. Then of course the surreal injuries..........someone gets a mortal wound and then doesn't die.
The movie itself had one or two cool death scenes and other slightly deep scenes but the whole movie was marked by a general lack of them. Ok to watch once, but I really didn't value the film as a whole and would never watch it again.
RE: Machine Girl
Are you kidding?! "Machine Girl" is the greatest example of Asian hyper-violence since "The Story of Riki-Oh". If you take it seriously for even one second, you're doing it wrong. It had lots of martial arts fighting, but I don't remember any zombies in it. I know that zombies and kung-fu have been paired up since at least the 70's (Hammer's "Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires"), but I'm having trouble thinking of any other examples off the top of my head. The kung-fu school/zombie idea is a good one, though.

Some Martial Arts in Bio-Zombies, as well as a great video game reference. Obscure flick worth a look.
