MOTIVES

OK, I don't mind saying that, as of this last video, I am totally flummoxed.

So Mel and Travis are in RHA's back yard. They found what we assume are the graves of Rick, Wylie, and Curtis. They know where Tommy is. They know Hayden, Sage, and Becca are in boxes. That's everyone. So who is texting Mel with the Sage/Becca choice?

The popular theory is Hayden and Travis, in it together. That was MY theory. Hayden has admitted his involvement. Hayden is either telling the truth or lying. So far, the only person we know he's told he's confined is Becca, and FOFW has posted a video of his kidnapping, thus intending to inform everyone but the buried individuals. If Hayden is lying, if the kidnapping was faked, then we have to think about who stands to gain what from faking it. Melanie, following the trail, is supposed to believe it's real (and us with her). Becca, ostensibly buried and a victim, is supposed to believe it. But why convince them? Especially when the truth, that he's a bad guy, is the same as the lie, which is that he's a bad guy?

I can't think of a reason to lie to Becca if SHE'S not part of it. The only reason I can think of to mislead Mel is so she'll think he's out of the picture. Possible that it IS a lie, and he sent the choice message. I doubt it though, because the lie and the truth are the same.

Travis could still be in it. All the evidence is still there. The white belt, the motives. His and FOFW's voice, I believe, are the same. If he IS part of it, he either turned on Hayden or he didn't. Again, what motive could he have to convince Mel that Hayden is out of the picture? Only thing I can come up with is that Hayden suggested it in case Travis couldn't keep Mel from investigating, and then he would have the element of surprise if he had to intervene. While it would work in a horror movie (which this is), I don't think there's much tactical value to it, and Travis, being egotistical enough to pull this whole caper off, would never accept Hayden thinking he might fail to control Mel.

So my thinking is still the same, that Hayden and Travis were in it, and Travis betrayed Hayden and boxed him up. If this is true, then there would need to be a third accomplice to send the choice message, someone who was not Hayden or Travis.

Can't be Mel. She was right there to recieve the message.

Doubt it was Rick or Wylie. You can't fake drowning. And unless Rick and Travis are in it together and planned a fake electrocution, Rick could not have known that he was going to be electrocuted, not seeing when Melanie threw the switch. If they were in it together (or all three of them in it together) and faked the electrocution, again, what to gain? Only Becca sees it, or Becca and Mel if it's just Travis and Rick faking it. So I think Wylie and Rick are dead.

Curtis could be alive. So far, his death has been the easiest to fake, and the number one rule of murder mysteries is that the first guy to 'die' is behind everything. Hayden, Travis, and Curtis? Or just he and Hayden? He would have no reason to stick up for Tommy, and little motive to hurt ALL the others (though I'm sure he'd enjoy Rick and Sage's deaths) Doubt it. I think he's really dead.

Sage has no motive. I think she's actually in a box (and most likely train food in the next day or so, ha ha).

Becca? Now that's interesting, isn't it? She, as has been pointed out, is above ground and not suffering, except in ways easy to fake on video. Again, if she's lying, she's lying to the other four underground, and the siblings above ground. Since we know Hayden is in on it and theorize that Travis is, we immediately wonder, "if she's involved too, why doesn't Hayden know?" Travis could have added her secretly, knowing he'd eventually betray Hayden. Her motives? If she's on the FOFW team, she must have known about Sage and Rick, so that's two. She seems friendly to Curtis and Wylie, so nothing there. I doubt her motives. But it's interesting that FOFW HAS the crowbar when he abducts her, but does NOT use it, choosing instead to punch her out, something easily faked on video. Then again, you could fake getting smacked with the Gordon Freeman Special too. I haven't seen anything yet that convinces me she's in on it.

Tommy is all that's left. Is he a vegetable or isn't he? Possible the the injury was real and that he has some faculty left. Can't walk, is a little dim, but can text message someone. Possible that, like with Phineas Gage (look him up), the injury transformed docile Tommy into a ruthless monster. Also possible is that the injury is fake. No one saw him shoot himself. It's only rumor. If Travis is NOT in on it, then we see him discover Tommy, and if he IS in on it, he would have known. So again, who are they lying to? Either both siblings, or just Mel... and possibly Hayden. A little hard to fake such a massive injury to Hayden, who is doubtlessly taking care of Tommy... you can't clean an eye socket without noticing the eye is still there. If Tommy is faking, it points to Hayden knowing... which would mean he is most likely falsely confined.

I got nothing. We'll see what happens tomorrow...
