I thought it was a pretty strange movie. That's for sure. "El Topo" translates to "The Mole" if you were wondering.
It is somewhat hard to describe this film. Possibly a metaphor for spiritual awakening and finding yourself set to an oddball western background? I don't know. There were things about it that I liked but overall you may like it, you may not.
This movie comes complete with some western movie cliches (master gunslingers, town massacres) then throw in some off the wall things (deformed cave people, religious cults) and you have one unusual film.
