I remember going to see SLEEPING BEAUTY as a child. When we got home that night, I was afraid that the evil queen was on top of our house as my dad pulled into the driveway. That movie really got to me!
Anyone else with memories to share?

I still have nightmares.(one of the charcters name was Barbara.) I had to sleep with my mom for months afterwards. Maybe thats why I love Zombie movies so much now.

There are two movies that I remember scared the shit out of me as a kid: one was Scream (the first horror move I ever saw, actually). After it ended, I was terrified that Ghostface was going to suddenly appear in the doorway and stab my friend and I to death. The other one was the TV movie Salem's Lot. That creepass vampire kid that was floating outside the window......not okay.
Chucky i was so scared i made

You know... when The Grudge
You know... when The Grudge first came out on DVD, I watched it with my parents. I wasn't too scared of the movie in general. But that last scene...where she turns around and she's just there and it zooms in? Yeah that. It freaked me out so much that I had a recurring nightmare of it for a whole month.
Psychic Killer (1975) &
Psychic Killer (1975) & Phantasm (1979). I am just able to sit and watch Psychic Killer now...that movie scarred me as a child!
There were two movies in
There were two movies in particular that really scared me to the point that I couldn't get them out of my mind for a long time to come. One was a movie I don't even know the name of. I was only about 6 or 7 at the time and we were visiting some friends of ours that my mom and dad would get together with every Saturday night. After we had supper everybody settled down to do their usual thing; the kids would go play in one room while the adults would watch TV. I remember walking into the living room to see what was on TV. I saw a super giant man (could have been a woman though) that was standing there in nothing but a diaper or underwear. Some other normal-sized people were running from him and had hid in some rocks or something. He was talking to them in a voice that sounded like he was whining or something. Hadn't been able to figure out what that movie might have been but it scared me badly and deeply at the time. In case somebody might have some clues for me this was around 1967 or '68.
The other movie that scared me came later and that was the all-time classic "The Creature from the Black Lagoon". That real brash horn music that plays whenever the camera is on the monster still haunts me to this day, though not as bad as it did then.
