I like the Uncut Version of the new Dawn of the Dead that movie is so cool It was kind of sad when that guy got killed cause his wife and child were zombies and they had to be killed that part kinda sucked and when my favorite characters got it but I still like the movie it makes me laugh.

I saw both, I definitely like the remake better! Down with Burt Reynolds!

The original is one of the best horror films of all time -- so, I'd go with the 1978 version.
As someone who worships the original, I was extremely skeptical about the remake. It turned out to be about as good as any remake could possibly be; maybe the best I've ever seen.

Re the 1978 version: MY DAD IS IN THAT MOVIE!!!!! He was still in his teens then and got a job as an extra/zombie. All he did was hang around the mall until someone asked him if he wanted 2 B in the movie and (of course) he said yes; well wouldn't U? He remembered a lot of stories about this movie and he never gets tired of telling them.

I definitely prefer the original...I have nothing negative to say about the remake, I just thought the original had more substance. The isolation of thinking there are just four of you (instead of the 10 or 12 in the remake, plus more survivors showing up) against all those zombies...whoa...

Dawn of the dead is the first movie of zombies that realy made me think what the hell would i do in this sitation. the movie showed how zombies can be very dangerus thay were running on top of it and thay were hungryer then ever befor. the new Dawn of the dead is very great as is the old classic Dawn of the dead. but wonders what if this happend in real life? would it go the same way or would it be differnt.?

The remake was one of the best I had seen. The original was a total classic. I have to admit though, in the remake the picking off of zombies who looked like celebrities was hilarious!

LMBO! I remember the first thought that popped into my mind when I saw that little girl take off . . . I was like "oh my Gosh, we are so screwed!" . . . Even with all the great sfx advances and and film technology, etc. the best and most impacting "update" to an already masterful piece of work was simply to MAKE THE ZOMBIES FAST . . . dang I love horror movies!!!! smiles
