Hahaha! Man, this movie was pretty cool. The soundtrack was even better! How could you deny loving a soundtrack that consists of a heavy metal drum beat accompanied by the same guitar chord played to no end? Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun....

Anyhow, cool movie about an evil spirit (or spirits) that insist on raping a woman repeatedly. Supposedly a true story....

i've seen this a few times and it would seem to touch a deeper core in female fans of horror,..an assault commited by and invisable demonic entity,.and no one belives the victim ,..and the few that do seem to blame her for bring it on.,.. sadly this seems to mimic reality whenever a woman is so brutaly assaulted,..blame the victim.,.for it's time it was a decent film,..but again a film that strikes a deeper cord with women rather then men.

a very concise indept remark on this flick.. it was a good movie and was based real events..which is even more scariert when u think about it!

yep def worth it. the action or suspense starts right off the get go and never lets up. and some of the attacks are just brutal. well worth the money and def surprising how good it was even though its 20 or so years old. my wife watched it for the first time not that long ago and had bad dreams too boot.

Enjoyed it. A really good fright flick that gets under your skin and leaves you nerve wrecked. i don't buy into the whole true story thing. I'm very skeptical about things like that. remember the whole Amityville Horror thing was a hoax.

A classic, a must for your DVD collection.

i've read the book and the movie is a damn good translation of it. way creepy, even in the book she claimed the attacks went on for years slowly taping off but never said wether they stopped all together or not.

I saw the movie when I was just a kid and it scared me pretty good. I then read the book when I was a teenager (found it at a rummage sale or yard sale or something), and you're right, the movie is a damn fine adaptation of the book...

The movie stated something to the fact that the attacks never stopped, even after she moved to Texas, but that she changed her name (possibly remarried) and that she was not heard from again. I saw the movie on OnDemand a few months back and did a little research (curiousity got the best of me) and there are rumors that she had died of cancer.

i've always wondered way somethings of this nature, why they dont make more of a national news even if its done in a negative way.i got a book called post humanous with supposed documented cases going back to the late 1800's of hauntings.

I believe one of the reasons it didn't make it into national news (not to say it never ran across the AP wire, because I was too young at the time to know) is the violence and sexuality involved in the case. Not to mention that it involved the supernatural. Most newspapers wouldn't want to damage their reputation by printing any stories about an invisible rapist that could never really be proven to exist (beside a handful of witnesses)....
