Considering that it had Rick Moronicus, whom I absolutely loathe, as the male lead, it was ok. Levi Stubbs, the voice of Audrey II, was the real star. I know this version is based on the musical, not the original Roger Corman movie, but, I'll take the original anyday. Jack Nicholson as Wilbur Force was hysterical. And Jackie Joespeh & Jonathan Haze ,as Audrey & Seymour, just blew away Ellen Greene & Moronicus.

I've gotta watch the new one again. I haven't seen it since it was in the theatres in the 80s.
If I remember, Honey I Shrunk The Kids was pretty funny in it. But I want to watch it again for Steve Martin.

One of the only musicals I like! Tim Burton is directing Sweeny Todd with Johnny Depp so that will be a good, demented, dark, comedy/musical.
